Friends of ours said they booked vacation for next summer and they said they are staying on main st. In Disney, do I understand them right and how do you do that?

    Dear Sandy,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

That would be such a magical experience, to stay on Main Street, U.S.A., but alas that is not an option as a Walt Disney World Resort hotel! There is no accommodation inside of the theme parks at this time, with the tiny exception of one suite in Cinderella Castle that is not available to be rented. Every once in a while, a guest is chosen to stay there based on a contest or other event, but it's not something you can choose to do.

However, there are Walt Disney World Resort hotels that are quite close to the Magic Kingdom! Is it possible that your friend was referring to Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is in walking distance from the front gates of the Magic Kingdom?

No matter where you stay, you are bound to have a magical time on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Have fun!
