    Many of my friends have gone to Disney and have received great discounts for their trips. We have our trip booked for May and have not received any discounts. Is there only certain times that discounts happen. How do I sign up for them?

    Hi Heather,

    There is nothing I love more than going on vacation at the Walt Disney World Resorts. When I can get a discount, it is even better as then I have more money to spend on a nice dinner, souvenirs or upgrading my resort.

    If Disney releases a promotion it is usually about three to six months prior to the intended time frame the offer is being made. This would mean that specials for May would be offered after the first of the year when guests begin thinking about their summer vacations. Now would be a good time to look for discounts.

    I encourage you to sign up for Walt Disney World social media outlets as they offer great insights into deals. In addition, I like MouseSavers.com to find deals as well. 

    Remember your friends may be receiving promotions through Disney's Chase Visa Card or another partner of Disney's.

    Finally, if Disney does offer a promotion during your trip, you can see if they will honor the promotion.
