I have a friend that would like to transfer points to me. The points are from 2023 and 2024. Can I do this as one transaction and how long would it take for the points to show up?

Welcome to planDisney, Ralph, and Welcome Home!

I am so glad to chat with fellow Disney Vacation Club Members about all the ways to take their DVC Membership to infinity and beyond. There are almost as many options for how we can use our Vacation Points as there are different arrangements for Mr. Potato Head's facial features. Let's discuss transferring Vacation Points!

Vacation Points can be transferred from one DVC Member to another once per Use Year. I spoke with a Cast Member regarding a hypothetical transfer of Points between Buzz and Woody, and they informed me that Points from 2023 and 2024 could be moved between Members in one transaction. You will need to call DVC Member Services to complete the transfer, and both Members should be available on the call. Keep in mind that transferred Points cannot be used for Home Resort Priority Reservations. Once the transaction is complete, the Vacation Points are immediately available. However, the Vacation Points won't appear on your Member Dashboard, but when you go to make an online reservation, they will be available in the online booking system.

Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here, ready to ride Bullseye to the rescue for any future Disney Vacation Club questions!
