My friend and her son just returned from their WDW vacay and she is trying to convince me to take a stroller for my 7yr old. She is 50" tall & 55 lbs & hasn't used a stroller in years! I know WDW can be tiring but do older kids really use st

    Hi Kenda,

In a word, yes. By the end of a Disney vacation many 8, 9, and 10 year olds are begging to sit and ride in a stroller. I vividly remember one vacation where my seven year old daughter practically threw her four year old sister out of the stroller so that she could sit down. Not one of our finer family moments :-)

You're actually in the one situation where I would recommend the Disney rental strollers, if you don't want to bring your own. Disney has very sturdy rental strollers available at all the parks. If you find that your daughter is exhausted at the end of the day, you can rent a stroller at the park. The disadvantage of this is that the rentals have to stay in the parks; they can't be taken to your hotel.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
