I have a friend who is significantly overweight and is planning a trip to Disney World. Is there a list somewhere of what attractions may be difficult for a larger person to manage comfortably - so that they can avoid running into too many problems?

The best information for people of size, in my opinion, can be found at allearsnet.com and in the Passporter's Open Mouse book.  These will cover detailed information like pictures of ride vehicles, safety restraints, how to get belt extenders, etc.  Open Mouse details turnstiles, restaurant seating, room sizes and much more.

Disney is really very accomodating to people of all sizes.  We recently traveled with family of all sizes and no one had any problems fitting in anywhere.  Please reassure your friend that she will be accomodated, and will not have to worry about any embarassing moments.  Grab a book and prepare for a great vacation!
