Hi ShaoNing, Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with your question!
How exciting that you’ll be sailing on the all-new
Disney Adventure in January 2026! It’s going to be such a magical experience, especially since this ship is the first in the Disney Cruise Line fleet to be based in Southeast Asia. I love that you and your friend are already planning to decorate your stateroom door. It’s such a fun tradition and a great way to add a personal touch to your cruise. Plus, a decorated door always makes it easier to spot your room!
Since the Adventure won’t set sail until later this year, Disney Cruise Line hasn’t officially released all the final details about the ship’s stateroom dimensions just yet. However, I did chat with a Disney Cruise Line representative, and based on other ships in the fleet, the standard (non-accessible) stateroom doors are typically about 28.75 inches wide and 77.75 inches tall. That should give you a good general idea as you start thinking about designs!
One thing to keep in mind is that
decorations must be magnetic and shouldn’t use tape or adhesives, even the removable kind. Over-the-door organizers are not allowed, either, since they can scratch the finish on the door or trim. Also, since the shape of the room number signs varies across ships, newer ships don’t always have the round porthole-style signs, so you may want to wait until we see official photos of the Adventure’s interiors before creating decorations that incorporate the number plate.
One detail I’m especially excited about is that the Adventure will include a brand-new stateroom category with
Garden View rooms, which feature verandahs that overlook the ship’s garden area. I can’t wait to learn more once the ship sets sail!
I hope your door ends up looking absolutely “a-door-able”, ShaoNing! If you have any more planning questions, I’d be happy to help!
Warm wishes,
Eean
