I'm so sorry your friend wasn't able to use her
theme park ticket, but how wonderful of her to share it with you! You should be able to upgrade the ticket to a higher tier as long as the ticket is still valid and wholly unused, and you will need to pay the difference in cost from the original price to the current price of the new ticket type. Usually we recommend for Guests to do this in person at the main entrance ticket booths, but it looks like you are not local to Southern California. I do recommend calling the
Tickets Guest Services line to discuss potential upgrade options with a Cast Member, and I'm hoping you can get the ticket straightened out!
I also recommend making sure that there are
theme park reservations available for the new ticket type, you can reference the
theme park reservation availability calendar to check for your desired dates. You will need a corresponding theme park reservation to go along with your ticket for admission into the parks!
