Hello, my friend and I are planning a trip to Florida and I think it would be rude not to drop into WDW, We have a open agenda for the whole year of 2011. When would be the best time to come with the least crowds and weather to swim.

Hi, Alan!  I agree, it would be positively rude to be right there in Florida and not make a visit to Walt Disney World!  You don't dare want to offend Mickey and his friends!  You'd expect them to drop 'round to see you if they were in your neighborhood!

For good swimming weather and lower crowds, I would say the beginning to middle of May (before May 30th - Memorial Day weekend - for sure) or the middle of September.  Early May is after most traditional US spring holidays, and mid-September is just after most of our children go back to school, so parents are a bit more hesitant to pull the kids out for a vacation.  The weather either time is going to be in the mid to upper 80s, so the pools will be cool and oh so appealing after a long day at the theme park or just as a great way to spend a day relaxing.

You may find free dining will influence crowds a little bit, so if you choose a time to go when there is a free dining promotion offered, book any table service dining experiences in advance.  Also, expect it to be a little more crowded than it might normally be.

I hope you have a great visit to Florida, and a magical stop at Walt Disney World!
