    A friend of mine is allowing my family to use her dvc in August and we are thinking about getting a meal plan. Is there a way to purchase this separately since we are not in a package?

    Hi Lachelle!

    What a wonderful friend you have, to give you the gift of Disney! One of the reasons we became Members was that we too wanted to be able to bring friends and family to Walt Disney World so they could experience the magic for themselves.

    You can certainly have the Disney Dining Plan added to your stay. Since the reservation is a Disney Vacation Club reservation though, it can only be added by the Member through Disney Vacation Club Member Services. You will need your friend to add this for you. They can do this either by calling Member Services, or on the DVC Member Website. Payment will be expected when the Disney Dining Plan is added. What I would recommend, to keep everyone’s payment information safe, would be to have you purchase a Disney Gift Card to cover the cost of the Disney Dining Plan. Your friend can then add the Disney Dining Plan and use the Gift Card to pay for it. That way neither one of you would need to be concerned about the loss of your credit card information.
