Me and my friend just graduated college. is there anything special disney does for college graduates in the parks? we’re not staying at a resort

Congratulations, Alicia! College graduation is a wonderful milestone to celebrate at Walt Disney World Resort, so let's talk about some ways to commemorate yours. Put on your cap and gown and get ready to march!

My first suggestion is to stop by any merchandise shop or Guest Relations location at the theme parks to pick up a complimentary celebration button. Cast Members will add a fun message like your name and "Class of 2026," and if you display it proudly, I bet you'll get lots of congratulatory comments.

Along that theme, I think it would be fun to wear your cap and tassel for the day. Take some fun photos at landmarks like iconic Cinderella Castle, or even book a Capture Your Moment session with a Disney photographer. You pay for the session, then purchase only the images you like. I can't think of a better memento!

Another idea is to let your server know about your recent accomplishment at any table service restaurant where you dine. While there's no guarantee, they might sprinkle some pixie dust at the end of your meal. The same goes for character meet-and-greets. I bet Mickey Mouse would love to give you a big graduation hug!

You can also keep an eye out for graduation merchandise at theme park gift shops. I recently saw Mickey ears with a tiny mortarboard dated 2026. An item like that would make a fantastic photo prop AND a great souvenir.

Being in the Disney bubble will create the most magical experience for your graduation celebration, Alicia. Soak it up and make those memories! I wish you all the best on your next chapter, and stop by planDisney anytime. We'll celebrate with pomp and circumstance!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
