My friend is a fan of all things medieval and historical. She was thrilled to see the various coats of arms hanging from the ceiling when we dined at Cinderella's Royal Table this year. Where can we find out more about them, and who they represent?

Hi, Paul!  One of my favorite things about Cinderella's Royal Table has always been admiring those coats of arms.  You will find about 40 of them hanging in the restaurant, and each one is the actual coat of arms of a person who has had an important role in making Walt Disney World the place we know and love.

Among the 40 coats of arms, you will find Roy Disney, Walt's brother; Diane Disney Miller, Walt's daughter; Marc Davis, theme park designer and animator; and Marty Sklar, and imagineer who worked closely with Walt Disney when it came to creative decisions.

The only place I know of to get information on all 40 coats of arms is at the restaurant itself.  On all of my visits, they've been very helpful at pointing out the various coats of arms and who they represent.

Thanks so much for your question!
