I have a friend that is a Disney world employee. Can he buy my family discount tickets? Does disney offer Florida resident prices for employees friends? He said he is able to get 3 people in with him but we are 6 total.

Hi, Sara!  Walt Disney World cast members do have a benefit that allows them to bring a limited number of friends and family into the theme park with them up to 12 times each year.  As long as your friend hasn't gone over that limit, you may be able to use that benefit for some of the days.  The guests get a park hopper pass, so it is possible for you to switch to another theme park.

As for discounted tickets, cast members do not usually have access to discounted tickets.  They may have complimentary passes that they were given at other times during the year that they can use, but whether or not your friend would have these depends on if he has used them or if the benefit of bonus passes was extended during the time he has been employed.

There are Florida resident discounts on passes, but you must be prepared to show a Florida resident photo ID to use the passes.  In some cases, I have been with my in-laws (who are Florida residents), and had the cast member ask them both for photo ID before she would sell them two Florida resident discounted passes.

I hope that helps with your planning and budgeting!
