Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melanie!
I think that the two Snack credits per day are one of the best parts of the
Disney Dining Plan. Snacking our way through the theme parks is one of the reasons my husband and I visit Walt Disney World Resort so frequently. Sometimes when you're planning in advance, it can be a little confusing mapping out how you're going to use your Dining Plan, but I have a great tip to help you figure out how to get the most out of your credits. The
Mobile Ordering function in the
My Disney Experience App has recently been updated to clearly mark which items can be ordered with a Snack credit. When you tap on Order Food and select a restaurant, the menu pops up and the Snack items have the label "Qualifies as a Snack" on them. This makes it easier than ever before to plan out how to use your two daily Snack credits. If the restaurant you're looking at doesn't participate in Mobile Ordering, generally anything listed on the menu as a snack or a side can be enjoyed for a Snack credit, but you'll know for sure by the purple and white Disney Dining Plan logo on the menu when you get to the dining location.
Some Quick-Service dining locations are labeled as not participating in the Dining Plan, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can't use your Snack credits there. For instance, Gaston's Tavern at Magic Kingdom Park is listed as not participating in the Disney Dining Plan because you can't redeem a Quick-Service meal credit there, but you can use a Snack credit for certain items like the Warm Cinnamon Roll or LeFou's Brew.
I hope this answers your questions, Melanie, and let us know if we can help any more in planning your magical vacation!
