    On Friday, we are planning day at Magic Kingdom, a 5:20 dinner at Chef Mickey's,then returning to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Christmas Party. I'm afraid of getting caught in the traffic of people having to leave MK before the party! Ideas? Thank you

    Hi Cara,

    The monorail going from the Contemporary back to the Magic Kingdom might be a little crowded, but folks will also be exiting at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian, so the ride will get more pleasant as you go.

    As an alternative, the Contemporary is an easy 10 minute walk away from the Magic Kingdom. There is a nice path under the monorail tracks. I've done it myself many times. In fact, when I stay at the Contemporary, I almost always walk rather than taking the monorail.

    There will be relatively few people going through the security check point and dedicated entrance turnstiles for party guests. I really wouldn't worry about this.
