Hi, Deborah! Thank you for taking the time to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The Wave... of American Flavors, located at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, is my favorite hidden gem Table Service restaurant on Walt Disney World Resort property (shh... let's keep that a secret between us)! I always get excited when I approach the entrance, and the tunnel complete with blue lights (reminiscent of waves) beckons me in.
I spoke with Guest Services today, and the good news is that there is
complimentary bus transportation for guests needing to get to early morning breakfast reservations. Although Walt Disney World does not provide service between resorts, you can take a bus starting at 6:15 AM from
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort to
Magic Kingdom Park, which is about a 15-minute bus ride. From there, you can walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort, located across the street from the Park (a brisk walk should get you there in 10 minutes). In all, I'd allow at least 45 minutes to get to your destination, and buses at that time of the morning run every 25-30 minutes, so if you don't get on the first bus, definitely try to make the second one. I'd suggest confirming the bus schedule with the front desk of your resort hotel, as they occasionally change.
The great thing about breakfast at The Wave is you're able to choose between buffet offerings and an a la carte menu. The buffet offers your classic Disney breakfast options like Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and fresh fruit. Personally, I enjoy going back up multiple times to experience more offerings. I have a
Rumbly in my Tumbly just thinking about The Wave's Signature Sweet Potato Pancakes and Tillamook Cheddar Cheese Grits!
See ya' real soon, Deborah!
