On the Fri of our trip, we were going to do a day at DTD. I have reservations at T-Rex and we wanted to for to FG for mini golf after and hang out on the Boardwalk and eat at Big River Grill and Brewing Works. Best way to get there? Is BRGBW busy on fri

    Hi Sara,

Downtown Disney (DTD) with a trip to Fantasia Gardens (FG) is a great way to break up a vacation. Fantasia Gardens is located outside the parking lot of the BoardWalk Inn. It is a quick five minute walk from the front of the resort and is a challenging course. It plays more like a pitch and putt than a traditional mini golf course with windmills and characters to create the difficulty. This course uses the land to create the difficulty. With the beautiful topiary which align the course it is a fun time for the family.

The Big River Grille and Brewing Works is located on the Boardwalk. This area comes alive at night with street performers and games of chance. It was built to resemble Coney Island and Atlantic City at the turn of the century. It also is the only microbrewery on property. The food is good and it accepts the Disney Dining Plan. With only four restaurants on the Boardwalk, Big River will have overflow from the other restaurants. If you come early you should be fine and the wait on the Boardwalk is entertaining.

Traveling to the Boardwalk, you will hop on a bus from Downtown Disney to the Boardwalk. To return, you have some options. You can take a walk or boat over to Disney's Hollywood Studios and grab a bus back to your resort keeping in mind that transportation stop running one hour after park closing. You could take a bus back to Downtown Disney or another park that is open and transfer at that point. You can grab a cab or taxi as well.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
