Is the French onion soup at Be Our Guest no longer vegetarian?

Hi there, Helen! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort question!

Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of my family’s “Must-Do” dining locations during each of our trips to Walt Disney World Resort! Whether we dine during the charming, quick-service breakfast or make reservations for the more elegant prix fixe dinner, we always love our experience at Be Our Guest Restaurant! I just love all of the meal options available and enjoy dining right inside Beast’s enchanted castle even more! You really do feel as though you’re stepping right into a fairytale whenever you dine here!

I am also constantly pleased by the level of care Walt Disney World Resort pays to their Guests with special dietary restrictions! I love being able to go to just about any dining location and eat alongside my family despite my own dietary restrictions! One of the ways that Walt Disney World Resort makes its dining locations more accessible is by providing allergy-friendly menus.

Upon reviewing the allergy-friendly menu for Be Our Guest Restaurant, it appears as though the French Onion Soup now considered allergy-friendly for Guests with shellfish/fish allergies. So, it is likely that the new recipe contains chicken stock which would no longer make it a vegetarian option. However, I would discuss your specific concerns with your server during your meal and see what accommodations they can make for you!

I hope this information helps you enjoy your feast at Be Our Guest Restaurant!
