Hi Melissa!
You are correct!
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels offer many activities to their Guests. Some, such as poolside games, lawn games, trivia night, cookie decorating, and Movies Under the Stars are complimentary. Other activities such as arts and crafts,
Mermaid School, or wine tasting require a fee. You can pick up a recreation calendar with a listing of activities at your Resort Hotel's front desk. Not all activities are offered every day, and the type of activities offered vary from resort to resort. In addition to Hula lessons at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and cookie decorating at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, here are a few other complimentary activities (not all activities offered at all resorts):
- Sunrise Yoga
- Water Aerobics
- Scavenger Hunt
- Resort Tours
- Story Time
- Dance Parties
- Campfire (with S'mores kits available to purchase)
My kids always loved participating in the poolside games. They had a great time, and it was a great way to meet other kids. (And it gave Mom a chance to relax poolside nearby!)
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you
plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Enjoy!
