Hi D’Lynn!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
I’m not seeing drawing classes offered on the
current Activities Schedule at Art of Animation, but the activities may change prior to your visit next year. So, I’d not only check back leading up to your trip, but also be on the lookout during your trip.
The Activities Schedule is often displayed in the lobby, and a Cast Member will be happy to review the current offerings, as well.
If drawing classes aren’t available at Art of Animation during your stay (or if you want some extra art time!), I highly recommend visiting
Animal Kingdom and taking the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. There, you’ll find
The Animation Experience, where you’ll get step-by-step instruction from a Disney animator and end up with a great drawing of a popular Disney character. It makes for the perfect souvenir (bonus points that it’s free!).
Speaking of art, I have to finish up this answer by talking about the new area taking over Animation Courtyard at
Hollywood Studios. The Disney Parks Blog teased that at
“The Magic of Disney Animation,” you’ll learn how to draw your very own character sketch.
This area is scheduled to open sometime in 2026, but an opening date has not yet been announced. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us.
