Welcome to planDisney, Julie! It sounds like you're in the middle of a
Walt Disney World Resort visit, but things have taken a turn with some sick kiddos. I've become ill on a Disney vacation, and I know it can dampen the magic. My husband practically carried me out of Disneyland Park a couple of years ago; I didn't want to leave even though I felt terrible! Let's talk about your options for unused theme park tickets.
Once a ticket has been activated and used by a guest, it's generally
not eligible for a refund or reassignment. If your grandchildren don't feel up to going to a park on their last day, I recommend you call the
Existing Tickets line as soon as possible to explain your situation.
I don't know what type of tickets you have, but the Cast Members in ticketing will be able to see your account information and let you know your options. Sometimes, they can extend expiration dates, so maybe you can turn that "never" into a "someday!" You might also be able to apply the cost of the unused tickets to a future
ticket purchase. I'm wishing on a star the children start feeling better soon and can end their trip on a high note!
Even if your princes and princesses aren't feeling up for a theme park, my family loves taking it easy at our resort. My son was just as excited to spend the day by the swimming pool when he was small. There's something so relaxing about eating pizza in a dripping swimsuit; it's science! One of our favorite pools is at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, where the whole family loved the waterslide at
Ol' Man Island pool.
Julie, I'm sending a spoonful of sugar so your grandchildren won't need the medicine to go down! I'm so sorry they haven't been feeling their best, but I hope they'll finish the trip strong. Please stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
