Hello! We have a four year old that loves everything Princess! This was a spur of the moment trip and most dining reservations are booked. What do you suggest we do about eating through out the day?

    Hi Kelley!
I'm a local girl and have lived in Central Florida for many years and I often do what you are doing-a spur of the moment trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. The best bits of advice I can give you for your upcoming trip with respect to dining are to be flexible and keep trying. There is now a $10 per person fee for no-shows at Table Service restaurants within the Walt Disney World Resort. This no-show fee applies if you don't cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance. If there's somewhere that you are really interested in dining, go online or call the Dining Reservations phone number several times a day to see if you can pick up a cancellation. It might not be exactly the time you wanted but who cares if you're eating lunch at 2 pm if you get to eat with Princesses?! I have managed to score same-day reservations for meals, so be persistent. You can also wait for a table at most locations if you choose to do so. The Cast Member at check in can assist you with wait times if you don't have a reservation. And as for eating throughout the day, I'm a big fan of the combination healthy/junk snacks. The chocolate and caramel apples and chocolate covered fruit skewers in the Main Street Confectionery and Big Top Souvenirs in the New Fantasyland are big hits with my kids while in the Magic Kingdom. There are many snacks to choose from throughout the parks and a great resource to see them all is www.disneyfoodblog.com.

I hope you and your princess get to eat like royalty on your upcoming vacation. Please come back and see us if you have any additional questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
