We are four adults and 4 children, is it possible to book an art of animation suite for four adults and four children? Or would it be strictly a party of 6 at most? Thanks!

Hi Deanna, and welcome to planDisney! Last year, I stayed in one of Art of Animation’s Cars-themed Family Suites, and it was so cool being right in the middle of Radiator Springs. So I’d love to chat about these special rooms!

While the Family Suites are pretty spacious, unfortunately, the standard room occupancy is six people, three years of age and up. While you’re also allowed one infant in addition to the maximum occupancy, even if one of your kids is under the age of three, it would still be too many people to fit in one Family Suite. Disney is strict about maximum room occupancy for safety reasons.

However, I have a couple of other options that might work for your family! The first is to book two Little Mermaid-themed Standard Rooms at Art of Animation and add a request for connecting rooms. While requests aren’t guaranteed, Cast Members will try their best to grant your wish!

And, depending on your budget, the 2 Bedroom Villas at the Deluxe Villa Resorts would give your crew lots of extra space. These villas feature two separate bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. They typically sleep eight to nine people, depending on the resort.

When I’m at Disney World with my extended family, we love having the extra space to make breakfast in the morning and hang out together when we get back from the parks. It’s a nice setup for traveling with kiddos since the adults can hang out in the living room while the little ones are sleeping in the separate bedrooms.

There are also many Deluxe Villas to choose from, whether your family would love to stay right on an African savanna at Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village (the 2 Bedroom Villas there even have three bathrooms!) or a tropical beachside oasis at the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows (where you can see Cinderella Castle right from the resort!).

I hope this helps you find the practically perfect place to stay while you’re at the Most Magical Place on Earth! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
