Hi Moms, I have found this panel extremely helpful in planning our vacation to WDW! I have a question about DDP - if the restaurant does not include a side with the entree, is a side included in the meal plan? If not, can it be purchased? Thanks!

If a side dish is included in a menu's description of an entree, then it is plated with the entree and would be included on the dining plan. If side dishes are listed on a separate section of the menu, not listed with a particular entree, then the side dish is not included with the dining plan. You are, however, welcome to purchase these items for the fee listed on the menu.

Anyone on the Dining Plan is welcome to supplement his/her meal with additional items. This is very common. For example, appetizers are not included on the basic dining plan, but many people choose to purchase these. Similarly, alcoholic and specialty beverages are not on the plan, but you may certainly buy them.

At the end of your meal, your server will present you with a bill that lists both what is covered and what is not covered under plan. You will simply pay for the non-plan items and your gratuity.

Have a great trip to WDW!
