Hello! Forums are so helpful! Thank you. Coming Oct 1-6, how will the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon affect the crowds in October 2011? With the Food and Wine Festival, I figured 11,000 more people would really make things crowded.

    Hi Josee!

Last year, I had the opportunity to visit during the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon and run in the 5K race. It was such a fun time! I highly recommend running in a Disney event if you enjoy running (or even fast walking)!

As for crowds, I honestly didn't notice large crowds except for afternoons at the Food and Wine Festival. I'm not even sure these crowds were due to the race though. The opening weekend of the festival is a very popular event with people local to the Orlando area as well as visitors from around the world. AND, on opening weekend, of course we are all anxious to try all the new treats around World Showcase !!

Hope you have fun visiting !
