Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Andrea!
Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are so excited to help you plan your upcoming trip to
Disney World! It looks like you will be arriving in a few days! WOO HOO! We are counting down the days with you! OH, and Mickey and Minnie just told me they can't wait to "See You Real Soon!"
I wanted to let you know that
Fort Wilderness and
Wilderness Lodge are two separate Disney Resorts. If you visit either resort, you will have two different stops. Now, the water taxis have different routes based on the color of their flag. For example, the last time I stayed at Fort Wilderness, you could take the blue flag water taxi from
Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge and then to Fort Wilderness. These routes can change anytime, so please check with a Cast Member to ensure you end up at the right resort.
You are going to LOVE traveling by water taxi. It's just such a relaxing and scenic way to get around, offering beautiful views of the resorts and parks from the water. It's a peaceful break from the crowds, with fresh air and a gentle ride that adds to the magic of the experience.
If you're looking for a great place to eat while visiting either of these resorts, I highly recommend you
make a reservation for
Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. This restaurant is a lively, interactive dining experience filled with hearty all-you-can-eat skillets and hilarious waitstaff antics. With its rustic charm, delicious food, and playful atmosphere, it's the perfect spot for families looking for an incredible experience! (HINT: Make sure you ask for ketchup!)
As you continue to plan, make sure you check out the
Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information about all things Disney! Mickey and his pals have some incredible things planned, so we don't want you to miss a thing.
If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way.
Have a MAGICAL day!
Wes
