Welcome back to
planDisney, Jessy!
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is my family’s absolute favorite place to stay. You are going to have the best time during your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
It’s always nice to be able to check in online, because you will know exactly where your site is even before you arrive. Sometimes the site is ready ahead of check in time, which is always great. You can absolutely still do the trailer check and visit the Front Desk to pick up your MagicBands. I always like to visit the front desk at least once, to find out about the activities going on at the resort during my stay.
Speaking of the
activities at your resort, there are so many unique things to do at Fort Wilderness! I love Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-a-Long! You can roast marshmallows and make s’mores, then enjoy a movie under the stars. Check with the front desk about food truck nights too! A few nights a week, different food trucks serving up barbecue and other great treats will be on site. It's a fun family activity without having to set foot in any of the theme parks!
Jessy, if you haven’t done so already, I highly suggest
renting a golf cart. It’s the best way to get around Fort Wilderness! The best part is, you can park it at the marina when you want to use the boat service to get to the Magic Kingdom Park. Believe me when I say that your golf cart is such a welcome sight when you get back to the resort after a long fun-filled day at the park. There’s no need to wait for a bus, because you can drive yourself back to your site!
I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to put those finishing touches on your upcoming vacation. We’re always here if you need us, so don’t hesitate to come back to visit if you have any more planning questions!
Have a
magical visit!
Veronica
