Hi there, Yoselin! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. Isn’t the
Disney Destiny’s “Heroes vs. Villains” theme incredible? I also can’t wait to see that AquaMouse water coaster in action!
I think you’re so smart to plan a few days in
Fort Lauderdale before your cruise. It’s a great way to relax and be sure you’re rested before embarkation day. Disney Cruise Line partners with two hotels in the area. The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa is about 5 miles from both the airport and Port Everglades, and it’s right on the beach with a beautiful pool, cabana rentals, and great dining options. The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, which was renovated in 2023, sits along the Intracoastal Waterway just half a mile from the cruise terminal and about 5 miles from the airport. It even offers a complimentary shuttle to the beach.
While these hotels don’t offer pre-cruise check-in, Disney Cruise Line can arrange
ground transfers to the port for an additional fee. If you book your accommodations through Disney Cruise Line, either by
calling them directly or with your travel agent (if you booked with one) you can add transportation as part of your reservation. Guests using Disney’s transfers may even have a Port Arrival Time automatically assigned for them during Online Check-In, so you might not need to choose one yourself.
I hope this helps you get ready for an unforgettable voyage, Yoselin...and maybe I’ll see you on the Destiny someday!
“Sea” ya real soon,
Eean
