Ahoy, Lisa!
Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Can you believe in less than a week, you'll be dancing on deck at the "Adventures Away" Party with your favorite Disney Friends? Your Alaskan journey will be underway, and it will be time to celebrate your VACATION! My family cruised this amazing itinerary back in 2015, and we have so many incredible memories of visiting the Last Frontier. I particularly loved cruising the Inside Passage and being able to view stunning wildlife from the ship including seals, dolphins, bald eagles and whales! The serene scenery made me want to spend every moment I could outside! I took hundreds of pictures, but there is nothing quite like seeing this beautiful state in person.
Lisa, not only did we have a phenomenal time visiting our Alaskan ports of call, but being able to experience Alaska on the Disney Wonder was the icing on the cake. The ship's activities kept us busy, and we thoroughly enjoyed how they incorporated special Alaskan-themed events in with all the fun you get to experience on a normal 7-night sailing. You will have one formal night typically scheduled for Day Two and one semi-formal night normally planned for Day Five. And the great news is that the ship's photographers will be available both nights to take pictures of your crew in your fancy attire! There will be several backdrop options so be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity. Times will be listed in your cruise newsletter.
One last helpful tip for next week is to keep your first cruise newsletter (you'll get this in the cruise terminal at check-in) handy for the entire sailing. It's a great summary of the cruise highlights, and I find myself referencing it a lot along with the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Both are great tools to keep you up-to-date on all the ship's happenings!
Have a WONDERful time!
Nancy
