Welcome aboard, Ruth! I must say that I'm a bit jealous that you live in Florida, which means you're so much closer to the home ports for Disney Cruise Line than I am way up here in Ohio! It sounds like you're considering taking advantage of being so close and getting ready to head out on the high seas with Disney! Hopefully you've checked out the
Special Rates for Florida Residents, and perhaps have found a great price for your next sailing! These are updated all the time, so keep an eye on that page for any future cruises!
The
Disney Dream's three night sailings are a great way to get a taste of what it's like to cruise with Captain Mickey and his crew, but it will definitely leave you wanting more! There is so much magic and excitement with the amazing activities, deck parties, Youth Clubs, Broadway-style shows, dining, and more, that you'll not be able to cram it all into three nights. My family and I have really enjoyed our shorter sailings, as there is always something going on, and we are certainly never bored! The shorter sailings of three and four nights do not include a Formal Night, but instead an
Optional Dress-Up Night. On this evening, guests can choose to wear more formal outfits, which we always opt to do ourselves, as even Mickey and his crew are sometimes out in their formal wear. It sure makes for some great photos! There are a variety of photo opportunities each night, but especially on Optional Dress-Up Night, so if you're hoping to take a lovely family portrait, that would be the night!
Have so much fun planning your cruise, Ruth, and please stop back with any additional questions before it's time for you to begin your adventure!
