Ahoy, Diamond!
I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question about cruising with Disney Cruise Line!
On any four night cruise on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas, you can expect 2 nights of
cruise casual attire, which simply means no tank tops or swimwear allowed in the main dining rooms. There is also one optional dress-up night, where your will see your fellow cruisers in everything from ball gowns and tuxedos (my outfit of choice) to sundresses and polos with khakis. It comes down to the fact that it is your vacation, so you should dress in the clothes you are comfortable in.
Another night will be
Pirate Night. This is probably my favorite night on any Disney Cruise Line vacation! You can expect to see everything from pirate t-shirts with jeans to full Captain Jack Sparrow costumes and everything in-between! This is your family's opportunity to play pirate to its fullest. Be sure to head up to the pool decks for the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party and the Buccaneer Blast Fireworks at sea. I highly recommend viewing the fireworks from the topmost deck on the starboard (right) side of the ship.
When you check in for your cruise, your Key To The World (KTTW) card will have your dining rotation printed on it. You will automatically work your way through the three main dining rooms on the ship, with your dining room team traveling with you. If you choose to skip one of the main dining rooms, you are always welcome to head up to Cabanas, which becomes a sit-down restaurant for dinner, with no set dining times.
I hope you have a fantastic cruise onboard the beautiful Disney Dream!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
