We have forgotten our child’s annual pass card and magic band. She is going to the park with her grandparents. How can we make sure she get in smoothly and gets her discounts?

    Hi there, Jill!

    Hiya Jill!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I totally understand how hard it is to remember every small detail when packing; you are absolutely not alone! And how sweet that your Mouseketeer will be embarking on magical adventures with her Grand-Mouseketeers! They are sure to make such beautiful memories together on this extraordinary trip.

Jill, I went ahead and contacted a friendly Cast Member at the Annual Passholder line who told me your family could try stopping by Guest Relations located at all four theme parks and at Disney Springs to explain the situation to them and let the Cast Member there know you need a new Annual Passholder card. Although they usually need you to be there with an ID for your minor, your family can always ask to see if there’s any way this is possible. Also, be sure your parents and your Mouseketeer are all connected through the Family & Friends list in your My Disney Experience account.

If your family cannot do this, another way that will work is if your child’s grandparents purchase a new MagicBand for her. Then, you can link said MagicBand to your Mouseketeer’s account, which would then act as her Annual Pass ticket entry into the parks.

Generally, a Cast Member would need to see the Annual Pass card and photo ID of the immediate family member present to give the discount benefit. However, if your Mouseketeer has access to the My Disney Experience Mobile app where it shows her annual pass, sometimes Cast Members will accept that as proof of the Annual Pass for discount purposes. Still, I cannot guarantee that would be acceptable everywhere.

To locate her Annual Pass on the My Disney Experience Mobile app, she would need to click on the three horizontal lines located on the bottom right-hand corner and then on “Tickets and Passes,” which is where all your tickets and passes should be.

Also, do be sure your daughter and her Grand-Mouseketeers have made their Disney Park Pass reservations, as those are required to enter the theme parks.

I hope your family has an enchanting time together, Jill!
