Hi Abby Laura,
You and I are the reason planDisney exists. Guests helping Guests plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations is the essence of Disney magic and the dining experience I had earlier this month will help put your mind at ease about your current dilemma.
When making a dining reservation for my party of 11 at
Kona Cafe, I could only secure reservations for 6 and 4. Family member number 11 was my adorable 6-month-old niece and I planned to talk to the hostess at the time of check-in to see if an additional Guest could be accommodated. I was delighted to discover that the
Mobile Dine Check-In feature of the
My Disney Experience mobile app allows you to include up to one additional infant (Ages 0-2) in your party at the time of check-in. Mobile Dine Check-In even lets you declare how many high chairs and/or booster seats you need.
On the day of your
Chef Mickey's reservation, Abby Laura, make sure you enable notifications and location services in your My Disney Experience mobile app. When your check-in window arrives, click the push notification or scan the QR code by the restaurant's lobby. Include your infant in the Party Mix and prepare yourself for the cuteness you're about to experience when your baby first lays eyes on Mickey Mouse. Depending on your infant's stage of development, there may even be some nose-grabbing involved.
Before or after dining at Chef Mickey's, retail therapy is just around the riverbend at
Bayview Gifts and Fantasia. I enjoy shopping at Disney Resorts Collection hotels because they typically have a large inventory of most items and I don't have to worry about carrying my purchases around a theme park.
You are welcome as can be at planDisney anytime, Abby Laura. Hope to see you real soon!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
