We are foodies! Need restaurant suggestions. Going to do the meal plan. Coming with gluten/dairy free and vegetarian family. Not a huge buffet fan. Also have an almost 3 year old and 9 month old in tow. Vacation is 11/25-11/30

Hi, Jill!  Some of the most amazing restaurants can be found at Walt Disney World!

Let's start with gluten/dairy free and vegan options.  You can go to virtually any restaurant at Walt Disney World and find a way to accommodate special dietary needs.  When you make your dining reservations, you can have it noted that you are arriving with dietary concerns, and in most cases, a chef will address them with you personally.  I also find that in terms of vegetarian options, there are often viable vegetarian considerations already existing on the menus.

As for some of my favorite restaurants, if you're a foodie, you may want to try things you don't see at home everywhere.  Jiko at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or Saana, also at Animal Kingdom Lodge are both favorites.  You'll find food prepared with an African flair, and definitely items I don't see on many local menus in my hometown.  For an upscale, gourmet experience, consider the California Grill, located at the Contemporary Resort.

EPCOT has a whole world of dining experiences, and we try to hit Chefs de France on each of our visits.  The food is incredible and you can go in your theme park attire!

I know you've said buffets are not your thing, but Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge may become an exception.  Again, you'll find menu items prepared with African flavors, and you'll get to sample some amazing soups and salads in addition to the incredible entrees.

If you have a certain type of cuisine your family prefers, you can write back and let me know, and I'll try to pick out restaurants specifically for you!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
