Food! We want to make reservations for breakfast and dinner at Magic Kingdom, but it seems that everything we want is booked. What are the chances of cancellations? We really want to be able to go to a restaurant and be waited on and served. Suggestion?

    Hi Cathy!

I can sympathize with trying to make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR) that fit into your vacation plan. We buy the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) every time we visit, so ADRs are a critical part of our vacation.

Chances of a cancellation are extremely likely. Many times guests will book many more ADRs than they expect to use, so they can have a couple of options when planning their trip. As their plans become finalized, they cancel the ADRs that they no longer need.

I advise checking back frequently to see if there is availability. You can call (407) WDW-DINE or check availability on the Walt Disney World website. You can check back every day, and you will find more times are available as your trip dates near.

Another tip is to make an ADR for an atypical time of day. There is usually more availability in a 2:30 p.m. time slot than 5:00-7:00 p.m. for example.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
