I have food allergies that require a raw food diet, are there any grocery stores that are close to the park so I can shop for my food or are there any other options at restaurants other than salads?

    Hi Kari,

Disney is a really a great vacation option for travelers with food allergies like yourself. You will find at each of the resort's gift shops a small selection of grocery itmes that does include some fruits and vegetables. There are larger grocery stores off property including a Winn Dixie at the Crossroads, near Downtown Disney. It is not far, but would require a car or cab. Another option if you do not have a car, is to order your groceries and have them delivered to your resort. I like to use They have a great selection and will deliver the items to your resort on your arrival day.

Disney is always willing to work with guests individually regarding their allergy concerns. You can make reservations at any Disney location and advise of your allergy at the time of the reservation. Upon arrival to the restaraunt, mention the allergy again and the chef will come out and speak with you about your best options for your meal. I think you will find they are easy to work with and will find something that will be safe and delicious.
Hope you have a magical trip!
