Hiya, Christie! I am thrilled to welcome you back to planDisney! It looks like you are in the middle of the magic right now. Hot dog! Let's get you on your way to enjoy all
Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.
You have impeccable taste in dining.
Trattoria al Forno is one of my family's go-to favorites. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner — the menu is fantastic!
Ale & Compass also holds a special place in my heart. So many good memories of time with friends and the Parker House Rolls. I can taste them now. Yum!
There is no direct route from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to
Disney's BoardWalk, but there are some very scenic paths you can take. From Port Orleans, you can take a
water taxi along the Sassagoula River to
Disney Springs. From Disney Springs, you can catch a resort bus to
Disney's BoardWalk Inn for Trattoria al Forno and
Disney's Yacht Club for Ale & Compass.
You have chosen a practically perfect location for some "resort-only" days. Take a leisurely stroll over to Port Orleans - French Quarter. The beignets at
Scat Cat's Club - Café are worth melting for. Riverside also has
dockside fishing. My son caught his first fish at the Fishin' Hole at Ol' Man Island and learned about Disney's commitment to the environment, including its catch-and-release approach to recreational fishing. And be sure to look for signs in the lobby letting you know the schedule for
Movies Under the Stars and
Campfire on de' Bayou. Movies and roasted marshmallows will leave you wanting s'mores!
Christie, I hope your trip is sprinkled with Pixie Dust and sparkling with memories that last a lifetime. If you have any other questions, please fly back by
planDisney. We're always happy to meet you here!
Thinking of the Happiest Things!
