We will be flying into San Diego and departing with Disney from there; we have secured ground transfers from the airport to the port. I will have my one year old, and five year old with us - are car seats required by TSA on the shuttle?

    Welcome aboard, Alison!

My daughter and I just returned from the most amazing Mother-Daughter trip on the beautiful Disney Wonder out of San Diego. We've sailed many times with our whole family, but took this opportunity to do just a girls' trip, and it was the best! I'm excited for your family to experience all of the amazing activities, entertainment and ports of call on the Disney Wonder from San Diego too!

The Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers are on a large motorcoach. No need to bring car seats because they do not work with the motorcoach seats on the bus. Your littlest one will sit on your lap and your five year-old can have his or her own seat next to you. This is a big tour bus type bus, so it's very different than riding in a car, for example, where you'd want and need car seats for your kiddos. The ride from the San Diego airport to the cruise port is five to eight minutes at the most, which is so nice. Since it's right down the street, you'll only be onboard for a few minutes before you catch that first glimpse of the Disney Wonder right there in port, waiting for your family!

Oh, I wish I were back there getting ready to set sail again too!

Have so much fun on this adventure, Alison!
