Welcome to planDisney, Matthew! Thanks for cruising by with your question about your upcoming vacation.
Coming from Canada in February, I’m sure you’ll be more than ready to trade the snow for some sunshine on your Bahamian cruise! When I checked the itineraries, I saw two 4-night sailings that fit your dates, one from Fort Lauderdale and one from
Port Canaveral. Since you’re flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO), I’ll assume you’ll be sailing out of Port Canaveral on the
Disney Wish.
Disney Cruise Line’s official guidance is that arrival flights should land before 11:30 AM and departure flights should be 11:15 AM or later. Based on your times, you’re within that window, so you should be good to go. However, February weather can sometimes throw in a curveball with delays, so if it’s at all possible, I’d recommend flying in the night before. I know it adds the cost of an extra night in a hotel, but the peace of mind is worth it, and you’ll start your vacation relaxed instead of rushing. My family has stayed right at the Hyatt Regency inside the Orlando International Airport before, which makes things super easy the next morning when it’s time to head to the ship. If you’re interested,
Disney Cruise Line transfers can take you straight from there to the port.
Also, on the morning of embarkation, be sure to pack a small day bag with essentials like your passports (or other travel documents) and swimsuits. A lot of Guests head straight to the
AquaMouse after boarding to ride before the lines build up, and it’s such a fun way to start your time on the Wish!
Here’s wishing you smooth travels and smooth sailing, Matthew!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
