We will be flying into the Miami Airport two days before our cruise to visit family. We will be renting a car. One problem is how do we get to the port from the car rental? Problem two: After the cruise, how do we get from the port to Disney World ?

    Ahoy, Anne!

When my family cruised out of the Port of Miami last year, we had driven from Orlando in a rental car. My husband dropped my daughters and I off at the cruise terminal with all of our luggage, and then he returned the rental car. He then took the rental car shuttle back to the cruise terminal and we found each other once he arrived.

After our cruise, we caught a taxi to the rental car company. Then, we drove ourselves to the airport. I'm sure that the rental car company provided a shuttle, but we never saw it and decided a taxi was easier. Since you are driving to Walt Disney World, which is quite a drive, you will definitely need to rent a vehicle to get there after your cruise.

When renting a car online, I always search for promo code and keep entering different ones until I find the price that I was hoping to pay for a rental car. So, don't book the first one you encounter, keep trying!

I hope you have an amazing cruise and visit with your family in Miami! Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as your cruise gets closer.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
