We are flying into MCO but out of SFB because of cost/flight times. We are doing a land/sea vacation. Transfer from resort/Port is 35.00 per person? Then rent car at port to SFB? Is there a Disney transfer option from port to SFB?

    Ahoy, Anna!

How exciting that you are planning a land and sea vacation to Walt Disney World and on Disney Cruise Line! Our family was fortunate enough to experience a land and sea vacation last summer, 5 nights at Disney's Beach Club Resort, followed by 5 nights aboard the gorgeous Disney Dream! It was an amazing trip!

You are correct that the transfer from the resort to Port Canaveral is $35 per person if you decide to take the Disney Cruise Line bus. Our family rented a car on WDW property to drive to the port for a couple of reasons. First of all, it was cheaper than $140 for our family of 4. Secondly, we wanted to make a quick stop at a store for a few items. Lastly, we went for a quick bite to eat on the way. We were able to return the rental car a few hours later at a facility about 3 miles from the port and take the free shuttle over to the ship.

Since Disney Cruise Line does not offer a transfer to Orlando Sanford International Airport, your options would include renting a car at the port, or arranging for a private transfer. I have found that by searching for discount rates online before booking my rental car, I can find a rate that I am comfortable with.

I hope your family has a wonderful vacation! Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions that you have before you set sail!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
