    We are flying in all the way from Dubai as my son is a massive Star Wars fan. Is there any way we can guarantee a slot on the rise of the resistance - as this is a once in a lifetime trip for us and he would be devastated to miss it.

    You must be so excited that your Disney adventure is almost hEAR! In just a few days you'll be making the jump to light speed and on your way to the Planet Batuu. Currently, there is no way to guarantee a spot with Rey and her crew as they take on the First Order, but I'd be happy to share some tips for the best chance at securing a boarding pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I'll be venturing to Black Spire Outpost the same week as you, and my family is also hoping to experience the newest attraction in the galaxy.

    When planning your theme park days, I recommend making more than one reservation to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios to increase your chances of landing a place in the virtual queue. My family has three Disney Park Pass reservations here for our trip next week, but we'll likely change the last one if we are lucky enough to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance during one of our first two days. If we're unsuccessful on our first day, we know we have two more chances. 

    I have several friends who did not score a boarding group at 7 AM, but were able to join at 1 PM. Just the other day, my panelist pal, Angie, and her family joined the virtual queue during the 1 PM time slot and experienced Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance that evening. Obi Wan Kenobi may have been Princess Leia's only hope, but the early morning is not yours. With two chances each day, I'll keep my lightsabers crossed that something will work out for your group. While experiencing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is certainly a highlight of visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, there is so much to enjoy in this incredibly immersive land. My young Padawans can't wait to build their astromech sidekicks at the Droid Depot, and my husband is looking forward to a taste test at the Milk Stand.
