Flying in the day before our cruise July 2024. Suggestions on where to stay the night before and transportation to the port. Will also need transportation back to the airport day of debarkation.

    Hi Patty,

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with this great question. I'm happy to assist!

Unfortunately, I don't have access to your reservation details but based on an arrival date of July 12, 2024, I see two different sailings scheduled for embarkation. First, a 3-night Bahamian Cruise out of Port Canaveral on the beautiful Disney Wish and a 5-night Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona on Disney Dream. I also noticed a 7-night voyage on Disney Fantasy scheduled to leave Port Canaveral the following day July 13th.

If you're embarking on either of the two cruises from Port Canaveral you can certainly add Ground Transportation to and from Orlando International Airport. You'll need to contact a Disney Cruise Line Crew Member to purchase airport transfers and/or a hotel but they'll be happy to assist. You can reach them by phone at (800) 951-3532. My friend and fellow panelist Nimmy recently utilized Disney Cruise Line transportation after an overnight stay right at the on-site hotel at the Orlando International Airport. She said it was a seamless and convenient process that eliminated travel stress and juggling extra baggage on embarkation day.

If you are booked on the Disney Dream sailing from Barcelona you can also contact Disney Cruise Line by phone to arrange transportation from Barcelona International Airport (BCN) or coordinate a hotel stay if needed.

I've had the pleasure of sailing on each of the three ships I mentioned so I know you're in for a most magical sailing from exciting entertainment to spectacular food and service, no matter which vessel you've reserved. One of my favorite Disney Cruise Line traditions is purchasing a Salted Caramel Coconut Latte to enjoy on our Stateroom Verandah each morning as we take in the beautiful ocean views. You can order one of these at Cove Café on each of the ships as well as at the Wishing Star Café (Deck 4) and Enchanted Sword Café (Deck 5) on Disney Wish.

Patty, if we can answer more planning questions as you prepare to set sail please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. We're always all hands on deck!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
