Ahoy, Brandy! Thanks for cruising by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you’re planning a dream vacation on the
Disney Dream.
While Disney Cruise Line currently offers ground transfers between Walt Disney World Resort and Port Canaveral, they do not offer transportation to or from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, where your cruise will be departing.
A great alternative is Brightline, a high-speed train that runs between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. The journey takes about three hours and offers multiple daily departures. You can catch the train at Orlando International Airport and ride all the way to Fort Lauderdale, which has a station that's about four miles (or a quick 15-minute drive) from Port Everglades. From the train station, I’d recommend using a rideshare service to reach the cruise terminal.
When it’s time to disembark, you can take a rideshare to Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, which is also just four miles from the port. Or, if you prefer, you can purchase
Disney Cruise Line ground transfers to the airport. As of now, the cost is $29 per person ages 3 and up, but prices are subject to change at any time. These transfers must be added by
calling Disney Cruise Line directly, and they can be arranged up to three days before your sail date.
By the way,
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is truly the most breathtaking beach I’ve ever seen, and I’m so glad you’ll get to experience it! While you’re soaking up the sun at Lookout Cay, be sure to check out
RUSH! A Junkanoo Celebration. It’s a high-energy parade full of Bahamian music, dancing, and colorful costumes. You might even see some of your favorite Disney Characters join in on the fun!
Wishing you a magical adventure from start to finish, Brandy. If any other questions pop up, we’re always happy to help. “Sea” ya real soon!
