Hi Margaret, and welcome to planDisney! As a former Grand Canyon State resident myself, I’m so excited to help you get ready for your 2026
Disney Treasure cruise.
While debarkation day isn’t usually the most magical topic, it’s definitely an important one to plan for. Disney Cruise Line does offer
ground transfers from Port Canaveral to Orlando International Airport (MCO), and your luggage will travel with you on the motorcoach. However, there isn’t an option for luggage-only service; if you’re heading somewhere other than the airport after your cruise (like Walt Disney World Resort or Disney Springs), you’ll need to take your bags with you. In that case, a rental car from one of the nearby agencies at the port can be a convenient option.
If you’re heading straight to MCO, here’s how it works...the night before you disembark, you’ll place your checked luggage outside your stateroom door by the time listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app (typically before 10:00 PM). The next morning, you’ll board the bus to the airport, and your bags will be stowed underneath. Once you arrive at MCO, you’ll claim your luggage and check it in with your airline. My planDisney pro tip is to schedule your return flight for noon or later on debarkation day. This gives you plenty of time to disembark, travel to the airport, and go through security without stress.
You can book ground transfers during your initial cruise booking, by calling Disney Cruise Line directly, through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, or (if you booked through a travel agent) by having your agent add them for you. Transfers can be added to an existing reservation up to three days before you sail. Prices are $45 per person and are subject to change.
I hope this makes your post-cruise travel plans smooth sailing, Margaret! If you’d like, I’m happy to share more tips for other aspects of your trip!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
