Hi we are going to Floriday next year staying at a disney hotel we don't want the stress of Driving in a foreign country but would still like to venture beyond our disney resort (esepcially to shop etc) how would you reccomened this?

Hi, Claire!  There are several options for you to get around Orlando without having to rent a car.  Your best bet is taxi cab.  Cabs are readily available at both the resorts and the theme parks, You are a reasonable drive to an outlet mall and grocery stores, so the fare shouldn't be terribly high, although if you plan to venture even further, it may end up becoming quite costly.

There are numerous limousine services in the area.  You could hire a car and driver for a day or two to do some sightseeing or shopping, and it may end up not costing that much more than a taxi.

Orlando also has a public transportation system.  The Lynx buses run from the theme park area to various points in Orlando, including the Florida Mall and other theme parks.  You can Google Lynx buses and their website will give you routes, fares, and all the information you'll need.

    I hope that helps!
