    I see that Florida residents are permitted to purchase discounted APs for out of state minor grandchildren. Since the Sorcerer pass can be purchased by Florida residents and all DVC members, might we also purchase APs for our out of state grands?

    Welcome to planDisney! While I am not a Florida resident, I am a Disney Vacation Club Member and Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. If I am understanding your question correctly, I think you are saying that you are a Disney Vacation Club Member as well, and would like to know if the Member Benefit of being able to purchase a Sorcerer Pass extends to your grandchildren.

    While both Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase the Sorcerer Pass, the rules around their purchase are not exactly the same. In the past, the rules for Disney Vacation Club Members have been pretty specific. While the purchasing rules for the new Annual Passes are not currently published on the Disney Vacation Club Member Website, I can tell you what the rules have been previously. Annual Passes can be purchased by the Disney Vacation Club Member for themselves and immediate family who reside in the same household with them, up to a maximum of 8 Annual Passes.  All adults receiving an Annual Pass must show a photo ID with an address that matches the Member’s address to activate those passes. According to those rules, you would not be able to purchase discounted Walt Disney World Annual Passes for your grandchildren unless they physically reside in your home. You would also need to be present and show your blue Membership Card to activate those Annual Passes.
