Can Florida residents get Disney world discount tickets of the same price for out of town grandchildren aged 11 and 13 and an adult son as well?

Welcome to planDisney, Marjorie! I’m so happy to see that you’re planning a Holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your family! Thanks for sending us your question.

When it comes to purchasing and using Florida Resident theme park tickets, they must first be activated by showing Proof of Florida Residency. That’s because, anyone over the age of 18 must show valid ID to prove their Florida residency at any Ticket window or Disney Springs Guest Services location, in order to be able to use this type of ticket.

You can absolutely purchase a Florida Resident theme park ticket for your grandchildren, who are under the age of 18. Your son would need to purchase a regular ticket.

I encourage you to take a look at the Special Offers page on the official Disney site. Mickey and his friends offer all kinds of promotions for their neighbors. You can absolutely use your resident status to book a Disney Resort Collection hotel and stay with your family at the discounted rate.

Marjorie, I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions!
