Hi Breana,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of the best advantages of
living close to The Mouse is the
fantastic discounts we get on Disney Theme Park tickets. I love that you want to take advantage of that and treat your friend to a magical visit. Unfortunately, while we can share our love of
all things Mickey with our friends and family, unless they are
Florida residents, we can’t share the discount!
All adults over the age of 18 need
proof of Florida residency to take advantage of the discount. So unless he has evidence of that, you will not be able to purchase discounted tickets for him. But you can buy a discounted ticket for yourself, and then buy a
non-discounted ticket for him.
Breana, do you know that you don’t need to show up to the Parks to activate your tickets? A
Ticket Center is now open at Disney Springs, which makes logistical errands a lot simpler! When you activate your pass, you will need to show proof of residency. That proof can come in a variety of forms, including:
-State or military-issued ID card with
Florida address.
-Bills, Policies or Registration in their name (i.e., automobile registration, insurance policy or statement from utilities, insurance, etc. note though that the bills can be no more than two months old).
-Mail from a certified institution such as a bank, federal, or state agency with their name.
Current statements and bills that are printed from an electronic version or via smartphones are acceptable.
Now more than ever is a magical time to visit Walt Disney World. chEARs to an enchanted vacation with your friend!
