Hi Aimee,
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are sharing the magic of Disney World with your nephews. Any guest over the age of 18 must show proof of Florida residency to use a discounted Florida resident ticket. Most guests use their Florida driver's license, a state ID card, or even their most recent utility bills. Guests under the age of 18 do not have to show anything to prove residency. You will need to be present to provide your proof of residency and validate their tickets the first time they use them.
I love being a Disney Annual Passholder! The benefits make the prices worth it if you plan on shopping and dining throughout your visits.
The Pirate Pass is a great way to save money while still getting access to Disney theme parks regularly. There are blockout dates but if your visit dates are flexible, this is the perfect option! I always make sure to check out the blockout dates before we plan a visit to ensure it is a day that is good to go!
You should review the
Annual Passholder discounts and make sure your nephews know to pull up their Pirate Pass on their phone and ask for thoses discounts while they are running around at the theme parks. Most restaurants offer a 10% discount on your meals and several of the shops offer 20% off on all your purchases.
One of my favorite ways to enjoy the theme parks with teenagers is to take advantage of the Park Hopper Option on your Annual Passes and make a day out of trying to conquer all of the most adventurous rides at Disney World. We like to make sure to hit up all of the roller coasters and plan a nicer dinner to try some adventurous food. EPCOT has a ton of options that offer a food adventure like
Chefs De France,
Spice Road Table, and
Teppan Edo. If you are looking for comfort food that is also decadent after your day of adventure, head over to
Le Cellier Steakhouse for some killer poutine and steaks.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
