We are Florida resident pass holders for the first time. When we go to renew next year do we have to go to guest relations and show Florida ID again to get them activated? Or do our current annual pass cards just continue to work?

Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca! We always enjoy helping our Sunshine State friends!

First of all, thank you for being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder...you are one of Mickey's most loyal fans! Your Annual Pass renewal will appear in your My Disney Experience account when the window opens, beginning 60 days before its expiration and up to 30 days past its expiration.

Florida Resident verification is only required when first activating as long you complete the renewal online. Renewals can be done over the phone at (407) 939-7277, online, or in person when paying in full (phone renewals are unavailable if you renew through the Monthly Payment Program). However, if you renew in person or pick up your new cards at a theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location, you'll be asked to show your ID. Your old cards will no longer be valid since the expiration date is printed on the back.

While most dining and merchandise locations still accept physical Passholder cards when applying your discount, you can also use your mobile device for verification purposes. In your My Disney Experience App, click on the three bars in the lower right corner. Then, select "Tickets and Passes," and you should see your annual pass there. I also recommend visiting the Passholder website for a complete listing of all your eligible discounts

Hope this helps, Rebecca! We hope to see you again real soon!
